Teddy Bears Day Nursery

We at Teddy Bears Day Nursery offer our children an independent choice to play with a wide variety of equipment and resources.

We are very proud of our large open plan layout which offers two home corners, dressing up clothes, a large story corner, small world, animal corner, train tracks, construction play, alongside ICT equipment for the children to utilise to enhance their learning experiences with the assistance of technology.

In addition, we offer a wide selection of art and crafts facilities and further support our children's learning and development by the provision of a music and singing teacher as well as a dance teacher which all form part of the service your child will receive at Teddy Bears Day Nursery at no extra charge to yourself.

We believe in encouraging our children to play and carry out activities as part of a group as well as individually.

We love to introduce topics which are directed by the children's interests and base some of our craft activities, stories and trips around these topics.

We endeavour to provide a stimulating indoor and outdoor environment which supports children's learning with a variety of motivating resources.

We also offer French and German lessons at parental request.

0-1 Baby Bears

Our youngest children are cared for in our warm yet stimulating baby room.

Our dedicated practitioners work closely with you to ensure that the routines which you have developed at home with your child are maintained.

We truly believe that children are competent learners from birth; therefore individual activities are planned with your child’s current stage of development in mind.

1-2 Tiny Teddybears

As your child becomes confidently mobile, they will have visits into our Tiny Teddies room, supported by a familiar member of staff.

Within this room, children are encouraged to be more autonomous in directing their own learning, selecting activities from the many we have on offer.

Their learning needs are understood by our pro-active practitioners, who support children’s learning with a number of planned activities, ensuring that each child reaches their fullest potential.

2-3 Browser Bears

As your child approaches their second birthday, we will gradually introduce them to the “big” room. In this room, our children aged between 2 – going to school work with our lively team of practitioners.

Through engaging in critical thinking partnerships with your child, our practitioners stimulate your child to question what they are doing and why in every situation.

3-4 Explorer Bears

Our highly trained practitioners support your child prepare for the transition to school through working with them towards the early learning goals which they are expected to have attained by the end of their reception year.

Through developing your child’s confidence in learning as an individual, and as part of a learning community, your child will be ready for the challenges that they will encounter at school.
